Africa Population Pyramid 2030
Africa in 2030
In 2030, Africa is projected to have a population of 1,727,213,466 people. Ten years before, in 2020, the projected population is 1,380,821,170 — 25.1% lower.
With a projected median age of 21.3 years, Africa would have a youth dependency ratio of 62.9 and an old-age dependency ratio of 6.8 per 100 people of working age. The pyramid is expansive: its wide base of young cohorts reflects high fertility and a rapidly growing population.
