Northern Europe Population Pyramid (1950–2100)
Northern Europe in 2026
As of 2026, Northern Europe counts an estimated 109,963,732 inhabitants. That is 5.9% more than in 2016, when the population stood at 103,807,060. The median age is 41.6 years, and for every 100 people of working age (15–64) there are 25.8 children under 15 and 32.0 people aged 65 or over. The pyramid is constrictive: cohorts of children are smaller than those of their parents, reflecting low fertility and an ageing population.
