Northern Europe Population Pyramid 2024
Northern Europe in 2024
As of 2024, Northern Europe counted 108,964,198 inhabitants. That is 6.5% more than in 2014, when the population stood at 102,327,852.
With a median age of 41.3 years, Northern Europe had a youth dependency ratio of 26.6 and an old-age dependency ratio of 31.2 per 100 people of working age. The narrow base of the pyramid marks a constrictive age structure: fertility below replacement level and a rising share of older people.
