Caribbean Population Pyramid 2013
Year
2013Caribbean in 2013
As of 2013, the Caribbean counted 42,188,998 inhabitants. A decade earlier, in 2003, the population was 39,291,676; it has grown by 7.4% since.
The median age was 29.6 years, and for every 100 people of working age (15–64) there were 38.7 children under 15 and 13.3 people aged 65 or over. This is a stationary pyramid — similar numbers in each age group up to the older cohorts, the signature of near-replacement fertility.
