In 2021, the Caribbean had a total population of 43,895,981 people. Over the previous ten years the population grew by 5.4%, up from 41,648,810 in 2011.
Half of the population was younger than 32.2 years; 23.3% were children under 15 and 10.4% were 65 or older. The near-vertical sides of the pyramid indicate a stationary age structure, with births roughly balancing the passage of cohorts into older age.
