As of 2025, Central America counted 185,160,699 inhabitants. Over the previous ten years the population grew by 10.4%, up from 167,748,853 in 2015. Half of the population was younger than 29.5 years; 25.2% were children under 15 and 7.9% were 65 or older. The near-vertical sides of the pyramid indicate a stationary age structure, with births roughly balancing the passage of cohorts into older age.
