Europe Population Pyramid 2014
Europe in 2014
As of 2014, Europe counted 742,640,640 inhabitants. Over the previous ten years the population grew by 1.6%, up from 731,246,189 in 2004.
The median age was 41.2 years, and for every 100 people of working age (15–64) there were 23.5 children under 15 and 25.6 people aged 65 or over. The pyramid is constrictive: cohorts of children are smaller than those of their parents, reflecting low fertility and an ageing population.
