Europe Population Pyramid 2029
Europe in 2029
United Nations projections (medium variant) put the population of Europe at 739,842,223 in 2029. Compared with 2019, when the projection stands at 749,504,127, that represents a decline of 1.3% over ten years.
With a projected median age of 44.9 years, Europe would have a youth dependency ratio of 22.3 and an old-age dependency ratio of 35.7 per 100 people of working age. The pyramid is constrictive: cohorts of children are smaller than those of their parents, reflecting low fertility and an ageing population.
