In 2021, Least developed countries had a total population of 1,109,397,233 people. Over the previous ten years the population grew by 26.7%, up from 875,870,728 in 2011. Half of the population was younger than 20.0 years; 39.4% were children under 15 and 3.7% were 65 or older.
