In 2018, Mexico had a total population of 124,573,711 people. That is 12.9% more than in 2008, when the population stood at 110,374,288. The median age was 28.3 years, and for every 100 people of working age (15–64) there were 40.5 children under 15 and 10.8 people aged 65 or over. The pyramid is stationary: cohort sizes are roughly even through the younger ages, reflecting fertility close to replacement level and slow population change.
