Middle Africa Population Pyramid 2010
Middle Africa in 2010
In 2010, Middle Africa had a total population of 135,884,555 people. Over the previous ten years the population grew by 36.9%, up from 99,234,666 in 2000.
The median age was 17.2 years, and for every 100 people of working age (15–64) there were 88.0 children under 15 and 5.6 people aged 65 or over. This is an expansive pyramid — each cohort of children is larger than the one above it, the signature of high birth rates and rapid growth.
