Middle Africa Population Pyramid 2019
Middle Africa in 2019
In 2019, Middle Africa had a total population of 182,227,031 people. That is 38.4% more than in 2009, when the population stood at 131,619,893.
Half of the population was younger than 17.3 years; 45.3% were children under 15 and 2.9% were 65 or older. This is an expansive pyramid — each cohort of children is larger than the one above it, the signature of high birth rates and rapid growth.
