Oceania Population Pyramid 2007
Oceania in 2007
In 2007, Oceania had a total population of 35,189,702 people. A decade earlier, in 1997, the population was 29,964,284; it has grown by 17.4% since.
The median age was 31.8 years, and for every 100 people of working age (15–64) there were 37.8 children under 15 and 15.6 people aged 65 or over. The near-vertical sides of the pyramid indicate a stationary age structure, with births roughly balancing the passage of cohorts into older age.
