Spain in 2020

In 2020, Spain had a total population of 47,679,489 people. That is 1.8% more than in 2010, when the population stood at 46,840,471. The median age was 44.5 years, and for every 100 people of working age (15–64) there were 21.4 children under 15 and 29.5 people aged 65 or over. The narrow base of the pyramid marks a constrictive age structure: fertility below replacement level and a rising share of older people.
