Ukraine Population Pyramid 2016
Ukraine in 2016
As of 2016, Ukraine counted 45,616,832 inhabitants. A decade earlier, in 2006, the population was still 47,278,695; it has declined by 3.5% since.
With a median age of 40.6 years, Ukraine had a youth dependency ratio of 22.0 and an old-age dependency ratio of 22.4 per 100 people of working age. The pyramid is constrictive: cohorts of children are smaller than those of their parents, reflecting low fertility and an ageing population.
